The People of ONF is a content series that showcases the interesting, creative and all-round cool people that make up oneninefive.
Let’s get to know Rosie..
What’s your name? Rosie Broad – if we’re talking technicalities Rosemary, haha
When did you join ONF? September 2020
What’s one thing that surprised you about working at ONF? That everyone is such a family – the whole company is invested in your success and wants you to succeed. It really is an all-for-one culture.
What led you to this industry? It was actually not an industry I’ve worked in before, I came from a varied background from education to finance! I was initially attracted to oneninefive because of their company culture – hiring on attitude and training for skill! The industry at the moment has been so interesting and I’m learning a lot!
What’s your hobby or passion project outside of work? I’m super active and adventurous so usually, I would say I’m most likely off exploring somewhere new! My weekends are usually filled with seeing friends and traveling, obviously recently this has been more difficult but I’ve been exploring my new home in London. In 2022 a group of friends and I are looking to climb Kilimajaro so I expect a lot of my weekends will be hiking!
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day? This is probably a very unpopular opinion but a really hard workout – it just makes me feel so much better and gives me a hour of me time! It probably is then followed swiftly by a G&T, haha.
What did you want to be when you were younger? An Olympic athlete, or a vet – I didn’t quite do either, haha!
How are you finding the work from anywhere lifestyle? I go through stages with it, as the world isn’t quite ready for us to actually work from anywhere just yet I’m finding the work from home life a little monotonous! I’m excited to actually work from anywhere, the office, a coffee shop, the park – I’m excited about the variety. When I first joined and everything was more open I loved it, the variety of every day and being able to see my colleagues was just brilliant – I won’t take that for granted again!
What trend do you hope makes a comeback? Leaving the house socially for more than just the supermarket and a walk, haha! Come on 2021!
What’s a trip that changed you, and why? One thing everyone learns about me pretty quickly is I’ve got quite the travel bug! I’m often exploring the world so picking just one trip is so difficult! I probably have to say my long travel trip, after completing my graduate scheme I traveled around the world alone for 8 months. It really taught me so much, about myself. I’m so much braver and much more resilient than I ever even realised or given myself credit for. It taught me the value of just being yourself, it was a trip that really helped me get over some anxiety worries and to know that there are so many wonderfully special people in the world! You learn that you don’t click with everyone, and that’s totally fine, people can be (and are) different, that’s no reflection on you it’s just everyone is different. I am now lucky enough to have friends all over the world.
What are you watching on Netflix right now? On Netflix I’m watching Ozark which is so good but my evenings are very much consumed with Married at First Sight Australia at the moment – the drama!
What’s one song that you’re embarrassed to admit you like? I loooooove an old school banger – kool and the gang celebration and ABBA Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! are a played often in our house.
What’s one song that isn’t played enough? Heather Small – Proud is a regular on my playlist, it takes me right back to my competing days!
Sand or Snow? Which would you prefer to holiday? This is so hard!! I love a sunny holiday and I’ve spent a lot of the last few years in the sun but there is something about a skiing holiday – You’re with all your friends, in the mountains, with a beer in your hand – such good fun!
One meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Anything Italian – Pizza or pasta and I’d be happy
How do you like your eggs? Scambled!
